Hello SAL of Post 305….Hope all is well. I think spring has sprung….
I just want to say Thank You to all who have been helping with the food functions at the Post….We are
setting some records…Good Job!!
We had a small turn out for our Chili Cook-Off on Sat. March 14th, but had 8 teams cooking….Too bad
it was such a beautiful day outside…I think that hurt us a little. Would have been nice to have a little more
help in running things so we could have maybe done a 50/50 or something….Try again next year maybe.
Remember, on April 3rd we will have guests from the Vet’s Home for our Fish Fry and could use some
help with them around 4:30 PM.
The weekend of April 24th & 25th will be a busy one. On Fri. the 24th, we will be doing a Fish Fry
fundraiser for Healthcare for Homeless Vets. All proceeds from the night will go to them. Then on Sat. the
25th, we are sponsoring a Blues Night with the Jimmy Stagger Band playing from 8:00 PM until midnight.
There will be a $5.00 donation to get in the doors. We will have munchies, raffle & 50/50’s. Should be a
great night.
May 14th, 15th & 16th, we will be holding a Texas Hold-em at TJ’S Card Room which is part of Russo’s
on Division. More details in the May newsletter.
May 2, we will be doing our road clean up, along with doing a Post clean up. Road clean will start at 9:00
AM, meeting at the Post. Hall clean up will continue through the day.
Remember Officer Nominations at the April meeting on April 13th. Happy Hour at 6:00 PM, meeting at 7:
00 PM. Hope you can join us.
